*please Read***** Car Value
Hey guys - at my job today a new guy started and i was out running my rs4 SS in the parking lot cuz there were no jobs left to do and he came up to me and started talking about RC's. He has a Stampede i do believe it is, with a .15 motor with brand new sleeve and piston, all i would need is some new rear tires, a starting box, glow plug and a radio. He is not sure how much he wants for it, and i dont know what a reasonable price to pay is, so if anyone out there can help me out, please let me know. i go into work at 4 on friday. Thanks
Mike

Stampede
Depends on the condition of the model, Ebay is a good source to get an idea of condition and final price of a particular item.
If its in good shape and runs good (make sure you run several tanks before you buy) then it should price between $175 and $200.
If its in pieces and he says...It just needs this and that and this...Pass on it.
You can get them all day on Ebay in good condition.

Uh... I cant see how a stampede will use a starter box. But, maybe. Anyway, make sure you inspect prior to purchase. And, keep in mind that everything comes with a warranty. Per UCC 2-213

ok guys i got the right info. it is a TRAXXAS HAWK all aluminum chassis, with a .12 motor. the motor has good compression but it needs a new pullstarter. it needs a glowstarter which i have, and the electronics. front has adjustable turnbuckles, and new shocks on all four corners. The exhaust looks a little beat up. I told the guy that i would give him 100 as it sits, since i got to figure out where everything goes, and so on. is this reasonable?? i have never heard of a traxxas hawk before so maybe some of the veteran rc'ers out there can help me out thanks again.

if im correct the hawk is a stadium truck before the rustler, id say 75$ for it. but 25$ isnt a big difference really either, go for it and have a little fun restoring it.
