RE: X jet scratch build
Bring'n this thread back from the dead to post up a vid shot by fly'n bud Richard Evans.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFQQm...eature=channel
Richard's site rcaviation.com has links to a number of vids shot at Seguin including Richard's Stumax Spark, Tom's Mig 21 and F-22, Joel's F-18 and BobCat, and my other fun jet, an SM 1/6 F-16.
The X-Jet must have nine lives. It has survived a mid air turbine frag that sent a turbine wheel halfway through the fuse, two damaged pipes, and several dead sticks. Still fun to fly. The whistling noise is from the wheel wells - I had to remove the gear doors after a landing gear mod.
Currently working on a new X-Jet very loosely based on the X-3. More orange paint on the way.

Barry, long time no see. Still flying at Scobee? Just learned that the Seguin air field has been taken over by FEMA, again. Looks like I'll have to head to Houston, Waco, or Austin to get my turbine fix.
