Default PHMaximus's 0.74hp Slash

Hey guys ive been doing some playing around with my slash 2wd. and I finally got around to testing it.

Its running a 35a ESC with a 3900kv motor on 2s, would u belive these little Combos are more powerfull than a .12 & .15 nitro motors, even more powerfull than a OS 15CV-X ABL....

2s= 553.8w(0.742658033hp)

When I get a fresh 3s then we will see some real 1/10 nitro killing power
im thinking 3s might be over 1hp

Nice job, are you going to make a bashing video on 3s?

BTW: That setup is nothing compared to this<br type="_moz" />

see how we go, I just thought it was interesting, its the first time ive done a video using the Volt/watt meter.

I did think there would be more intrest in this test

This is nothing speical but it goes to show that even these little ESC & Motor combo's put out more power than a .12 & .15 nitro motor and they are under $100 to buy.... Great value if u ask me

and another thing this video shows is how durable the traxxas magnium gearbox & slider shafts are

here is a pic of the Slash, nothing speical, usual upgrades. Still trying to get the suspension worked out.
I swapedout the traxxas shocks for some losi XXX shocks, they are heaps smoother and not asmuch resistance on the seal. only thig is the springs are way to soft, Ive got the 2.5" pink in the front and red in the rear, because the rear is so soft, ive ordred the orange, silver, green & blue. with any luck that should fix up the rear end... when i get a new SCT body, ill get some videos of it running on a carpet track

That's a test I have been wanting to do as well. What volt/watt meter are you using? I just finished converting my crt.5 to brushless yesterday. I dropped in an XERUN 80A ESC and a Mamba Monster 2200 motor. It's wicked on 4s. It would be cool to see the HP numbers on that little truck!

Ohhh nice one, I'm using the GT Power Watt Meter, it's a awesome little unit, it has a few nifty other features. But its limited to 130amps [&o]

That setup u are running (depending on gearing) could be more than its limit, but then again with the increased volts... Might be worth getting a analog ammeter with bridge and do a test like mine go get a ball park figure, then go from there

hey just did some very basic maths, say ur battery drops to 14.8 underload and the setup pulls 100amps thats very very close to 2hp.... and if it pulled 130amps thats the max that the watt meter can take thats just over 2 1/2hp....

I need to find a meter designed for 1/8 scale or larger systems. I would like to see what kits of power my Ofna GTP2e is putting down. I was talking to a guy who is running a Mamba Monster 2200 motor with a Castle XL2 ESC on 8s. The XL2 has a built in data logger and said that setup was putting down nearly 8HP!

Dont know if thee is on that can handle the power of the 1/8th pluss systems...kinds sucks really

those Castle XL2 are great. I wish more ESC's had that feature, I just dont see why they dont build it into all of the ESC as a option or something like that.

WOW 8hp!!! im assuming he was running that in a 1/5 scale rig??? or some dammm tall gearing to pull those amps... or maby he was talking about possible power not actial???
have u checkedout Some of the Brushless Losi 5ives???? they are mental, its crazy that they have more power than a full mod gas motor.

thech these guys out [link]http://mgm-compro.com/index.php?tid=hi-end-electronics-for-models[/link]

check this on out.... 20HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could say it was mine. I've topped out at 110MPH with mine so far.

How long does a drivetrain on a car like that with that power last?
