RE: what battery to get
Get some nano-tech lipo's, you won't regret it. I have been using them for some time now. I love the fast charging, give me much more time to play.
If I am correct a standard Slash will need around 50A, I would get a battery that can provide 80A or, something like this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=11926
Before buying anything, check if the battery dimensions comply with the battery bay size.

I Must agree with the earlier post. I'm really liking the Nanotech batteries that i have purchased the 45c batteries really pack a punch. I've probably got 300 charged on one and still going strong.

Go to your local hobby shop and get Venom Lipos. They have a good warrantee and if you do have trouble with them you can take them back to the dealer. If you have trouble with the cheap HK lipos, your are just stuck with them.
Plus the shop owner can educate you and give you the correct battery for your needs.
