Which Plane?
I don't know which plane to get. My other post got deleted when we switched to the new site. Should I get the OMP 540, the sledge, or the OMP Yak 54?

RE: Which Plane?
I just made a deal for a Sledge kit in the box from a guy on another forum. I have an Irvine 53 and a YS 63 sittin on the shelf. I figure the YS is the way to go but some seem to really like the Irvine. Any comments?

If you are comfortable tuning the YS, it'll work great, but the Irvine is hard to beat.

RE: Which Plane?
I just got through flying the omp yak. Its a very good plane. Its of course bigger than the sledge, so you have to figure in what size you want, and what you are willing to spend. The sledge is a very good plane for learning 3-d, and such. I would not part with mine, and I have another kit for a sledge to build this winter. But I think I will also buy a yak to build as well. I liked it too.

RE: Which Plane?
You sure cannot go wrong with the sledge for the 40 size profile. If you want a bigger plane then go with the OMP yak or the Extreme flight RC profile edge. Those two planes are excellent for the 90 size stuff. (I have flown both by the way.) Jeff W.
