Can the CDI and hall sensor for the newer verion of the Saito FG-14C be used on the older verion of the Saito FG-14B?</p>

I am fixing my FG-14B and realise that the CDI and hall sensor are for the newer FG-14C which do not look the same as the older ones.

The timing is different. The original one was zero degrees advance before top dead center.

The latest one is 28 degrees before top dead center. The prop diver hub has the locating pin hole in a different position to make the timing correct.

Or  any suggestion on how I can do? since I already bought the new version CDI+hall sensor.

You can buy all sorts of holder extensions for the sensor magnet. I managed to get by with the existing FG-14 tapped screws (for the TDC set-up) with a plastic holder that was long enough to get the replacement cdi to 28 degrees.</p>

Yes it will work for you. The new prop driver hub number is SAIG14C27. We are currently waiting on this first shipment of parts and they will be available about early February.
