Default Charger question

Been out of the game for a while. Just got an 5905 emaxx off Craigslist and the charger and batteries suck that came with it. So I'm I the market for a charger. Looked at the twin peak charger but it doesn't do lithium, looked at the onyx 245 but wanted to see if I could do a little cheaper. I found an IMAX b6 on eBay for under $40 and looks like it does everything and I could buy 2 of them for cheaper than the onyx. An did a search but everything I found on it the person said they only had it for a few weeks or a month. And I wanna make sure that its gonna last for at least a year before I get them. Has anyone had any experience with these? Or know of another one that may be a better choice for me? Also any input on a set of batteries lipo for around 40 apiece. Thanks yall

Hi, welcome to RCU.

So you have 2 packs of lipo to do. I'm familiar with both of the chargers mentioned and the pair of b-6 is gonna be the better choice inmop (especially if you run it from dc power)

I'm not aware of any dual charger that does the job faster for less than $30

ps. I suggested they move this to the batt/charger thread.

Thank you for suggesting the move. The packs that came with it were nimh packs and I'm wanting to change to lipo. What did you mean when you talked about running it from dc power? Can you not plug that charger into ac? The charger I have now does 1amp charge from ac power or 6amp from dc, which sucks takes 2 hours to charge one battery. <div>

the b-6 is 11-18 volts DC power. The Onyx 245 is AC / or DC.

I am finding some 80-200 watt chargers from HK in the < $50 range that will do the job faster than either charger , but would have to put the packs in parallel or series.
