depends on what you have so far like any extra radio equipment or support equipment...for around that price range you will end up with a bottom barrel ofna buggy

If you save up for another paycheck, grab an MBX Pro for $330-360 depending on where you look, and shell out for a high torque servo (Hitec HS-625MG is enough) and you should be good to go. But, for around a similar price, the Hot Bodies Lightning Pro RTR is an awesome deal since it has lots of durable parts and is RTR.

I agree with Kuma, For the money, the Ultra MBX Pro can't be beat. If you're dead set on 300.00 and already have a radio, check out the Duratrax Axis.

It's not in the upper echelon of buggies however I've read that it's a good basher and @ 269.00 RTR (minus radio) it's a pretty good deal!

GS - u say buggy, and then u say less than 300.00 but u never mentioned two important things. 1. We assume that u mean a 8th scale. not a 10 scale, is this correct? 2. Do u need an RTR, or do u already have an engine, pipe, radio, ect?

If you need an RTR, or have to still get the support equip - save your money, because anything in the price range u are in right now is going to be junk. Save another month and pick up a Lightening pro, or save a lil longer and get a storm pro, inferno, EB-4 S2, or MBX5. Trust me, i learned a long time ago to save your money and get the goos stuff , rather than hurring and getting garbage.
