Just make sure after getting wet that the bearings and such have grease so they don't rust, you don't have to take it apart every time you run or anything just make sure to check once in a while.

Lol it's fine that's what the forum is for and that's why we're here, to answer questions. Take the tires and the little hex behind them off and you'll see the bearings, they're sealed so they'll be fine for a while but if it's getting wet alot just check once in a while like I said.

Excellent, thank you.
I was actually think that maybe I should also take my car into the local hobby shop in a couple of weeks and just see if the mechanic their will show me what I should do to properly maintain it.

I actually have not got any lube or grease. I was actually going to order some tomorrow when Iget paid. How often should I apply lube and grease and where. The bearings are now obvious, but how about the grease?

Some people do after a couple runs and some people never do, kind of like changing the oil in your car, the more often the better but not always necessary. Things to oil/grease would be bearings, tranny gears "not very often", hinge pins, you can clean the motor with electric motor cleaner.. there may be something else you can use for that but I don't know what it is. There aren't really many things to do to maintain a 2wd truck and they don't have to be done that often but it will need it sometime.

RE: Need some beginner advice
So for the last 3 days I run my truck daily for about a half hour. Its pretty much as soon as I have free time. Well I went out to run it right now and my son says, "Wouldnt it be cool if there was a camera attached so you can see how its driving." Thats my boy! LOL.
Well I took my mountain bike camera and attached it to the top of the car with tape. Its small and lightweight, but wow, it seemed to change the whole weight distribution of the car. I rolled the car for the first time right when I put the camera on. I wasnt worried about the camera because its pretty rugged, but I kind of freaked out about my car. Then I remember that its suppose to be able to take a good beating. Well sure enough, I hit the throttle and it took off again. I rolled it a couple more times very easily, but as soon as I took off the camera it seemed to stop rolling.
Anyways, little did I know my camera battery died about 15 seconds in so all the footage I thought I had was not there. Too bad. I think I need to do it again will a full battery.
Anyways, I think Im pretty much done with this topic. For now on I think I will make other posts.
Thanks again for all the help. Although I didnt get a car that was initially recommended by others, I couldnt be happier. Well, actually, Im sure I can once I start making little changes to the car, but for the time being I feel like a kid again. Looking forward to diving in head first into the world of RC cars (and possibly other vehicles later). I see a high speed road ahead.
