buggy convert to truggy
Hi all, has anyone converted a buggy to truggy with the conversion kit available ? I've got an old hyper 7 in good nick but am partial to the larger wheels/tyres of the truggy, allso i like the look of them etc etc the list goes on. Ideally i'd buy a mugen MBX5T or later model , but too much invested in other cars, but the hyper 7 is sitting idle at pres & needs a few parts (body, hex drives, ) so when i saw an ad in racinglines for the conversions i'm sure i saw an ofna kit on sale, that's back when truggys were just coming on the scene. Am i better off buying a proper truggy or does the conversion model worl ok ? plz advise me peoples ! thanks.

RE: buggy convert to truggy
It is very rarely economical to convert a buggy to a truggy. As said above, if conversions don't include a significantly longer wheelbase chassis, then it ain;t even going to be a truggy when finished. Long chassis necessitates longer braces, longer driveshafts, etc. It rapidly gets pretty expensive.

RE: buggy convert to truggy
Thanks foxy , i knew about the longer chassis but i had doubt's about it being value for $$ when it needs so many different things to make a true truggy. all good cheers.
