Default New Car Ideas

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Hi im new to the rc hobby and was wondering what is the best electric buggy i can get for around $200. Right now i have an 1/10Exceed RC Electric SunFire RTR Off Road Buggy with just a brushed motor. I want to get into the brushless models so i can get a little more speed. So what are some good buggies i can get for around $200?</span></span>

You won't get anything better than what you have for $200.

Have a look through the models available at modelsport.co.uk and see what you like the price of. We'll let you know if its a good deal or not.

I'll probably just upgrade the one I have now to a brushless and get a better battery in it

That'll probably be the cheapest solution...

Try this place...

ESC (29 dollars): http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking...Version_2.html
Motor (23 dollars): http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking...Brushless.html
Lipo charger (40 dollars): http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking..._GENUINE_.html
2 good batteries (15 dollars each): http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking...Lipo_Pack.html

Now you are fully lipo and brushless with an hour of runtime at silly speeds (half hour per battery if not more) for $107 bucks or 70 British Squids, plus delivery.

Delivery will not be that cheap unfortunately, due to the fact its in China, but shouldn't be too bad. You may get a very small customs bill too (potentially 15 quid I would guess), but probably not.

Not immediately, but they probably won't hold up to the torque of the brushless setup. Another option would be the Redcat Caldera 10e buggy. They sell for $199 shipped. This won't include lipo's or a Lipo charger, and it certainly won't compare to a lot of the equipment you read about in this section, but for $200 you get a lot of buggy. It's equipped to handle Lipo out of the box and you can also upgrade many of the parts from the Redcat 8e line. My son has the monster truck version and it's held up very well.

That stuff will work, it's the same stuff I listed above.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif" color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 12.727272033691406px;">i would recommend you the traxxas bandit. there are others that are roughly as good out of the box but with traxxas you get top notch parts support. i dont care if you get traxxas, hpi, associated, losi, exceed etc, parts are going to break/wear out if you drive it hard enough to have a lot of fun.though traxxas is widely considerd on of the toughest and more reliable brands.</span></font>
