Brake Help!!!
Hi All,
I'm using a UP6 valve and getting alot of air bleed off from my brake O-rings in my Skygate Hawk gear, which I purchased used. Do you guys happen to know the possible problem and a solution?
Thanks in Advance!

RE: Brake Help!!!
Please do not spray any type of silicone into any up valves or in the air lines. They will get damaged. They use Dow Corning 55 o ring lube. Contact UP directly and they might even service the valve free of charge. They have great customer service.
To test for leaks

These are the directions ans specifically instruct against using any other oil in the valve.

This is their web site and you can call them.

RE: Brake Help!!!
The valve is not leaking any air, it is the o ring at the wheel brake hub that leaks air when the brakes are applied, only on one wheel. Hopefully this helps a little better.

RE: Brake Help!!!
If that's the case you can try injecting very small amount of thin silicon oil (BVM sells this oil or shock oil for the cars) into the nipple but there is a small risk of some of it wicking back to the UP valve and damaging the o rings in there. If the lines are long then it's up to you to take a risk and attempt it.
