DLE-85 Anybody flying one of these?
I've read a number of threads about the DLE-85 but there is very little information from anyone actually flying one of these engines. If you have one that you fly regularly, could you write a few words about it?
I have several older 30%+ planes in my fleet that are currently powered by older, smaller engines. Though reliable, I'd like to improve the performance of these planes and the DLE 85 looks to be a good candidate.
Any info would be appreciated.

yup been running this engine all year with zero problems. the transition is instant and no burble through out the transition, it runs like a clock. the only downside I don't like is the pinging but that's a typical dle. best engine I've bought so far.it pulls a 1/3 cub at 38.5 pds unlimited vertical, hope this helps.

yeah its a beast!! i'm getting 6800 with a 26x10 xoar prop. I just fly normally at 1/4 throttle but it is fun to go vertical when ever I feel like doing so. on board the cub is a 32 oz fuel tank and normally I fly 20 mins and have plenty of fuel left so it isn't bad on fuel either.
