Skyline raven 30cc "cg help ! "
If anyone has experience with the Skyline Raven 30cc cg please give me any information. The manual seems to cover multiple models and on the last page it has the cg at 105mm behind the leading edge. I currently have a DLE 35 mounted and all components are as far forward as possible.
Last night I place 7 ounces as far forward as possible and the plane seemed to sit level on a cg machine. With the plane level (flying position) it would maintain "level". If I touched the spinner with a very light "nudge" it would slowly cast down and pic up speed. This may be perfect but im not sure. Most of my builds (i'm a novice) were high wing and the cg was very obvious. On the high wing the nose would dip down slightly and hold a nose down attitude......maybe 15 to 20 degrees.
Anyway the maiden is coming up this weekend and I am not one to shy from as much information as possible. Im not looking for 3D performance this weekend. Im looking to survive !
thanks,
Teddy
