ESC PWM frequency and audible noise
Hi all,
I want to make very silent ~1/5 RC car.
I know that I must use the ESC which is capable to output high frequency PWM signal of 24-32 kHz.
Are there any sensored 150A ESCs which I could program to run on 24-32 kHz frequency?
I plan to use direct drive flat multi-pole brushless motors.
Are there any other suggestions how to decrease ESC/motor audible noise? Motor heat-up and efficiency does not matter. Noise, torque and high resolution throttle would be most important.
Is it possible to run 36N40P configuration KV100 gimbal motor at 60 RPM without noise?

Normally I'd agree with you Golf, but in this case, this is specialist ESC knowledge, and 150A ESCs are typically used in 1/8th, so I think I'll leave it here.
I'd say go straight to an ESC manufacturer. Nobody outside the business is going to know this. I consider myself pretty hot on brushless but this is way beyond me.
I think your first stop could be LRP's iX8, I have one in a 1/8th buggy and it is by a long shot the quietest ESC I've ever used, but I have no idea if it meets your requirements concerning frequency etc.

Thank you for comment. I will try iX8 + motor noise on the local shop.
The "brake" howling noise is the motor driving PWM frequency related noise. If it is above 16 kHz then it is very quiet. Some of helicopter $800+ ESCs have the 16 kHz or 32 kHz motor driving frequency options, but they all are sensorless.
Are there any other quiet ESCs out here to consider?
