30th Annual M&R Xmas day fly fest
Today was the 30th anniversary of my first Xmas day flying session on Croxley Moor (Hertfordshire England) Its the piece of ground I started to learnt to fly on 45 years ago. Over the years people have joined the two hours of fun and long time friend Trevor Skedge has been involved for 27 years and past and present employees for the last 10 years. We often have amazing weather as today, nothing like the forecast, we laugh in the face of the weathermen and arrived with a multitude of Micro foamie and a gaggle of Phase 3 EDF's, a lone Great Planes L-39 and Graupner Panther.
This year saw seven participants and we did laugh! For once everything came back flyable...even if Little Stevie took a wing off my newest F-16 while I was landing! Epoxy fix and I was even forgiving enough to allow him a flight with it during the "formation" attempts.
Great start to the Xmas festivities.
Merry Xmas everyone.

The "mass" landing was priceless, everyone called landing together, Beardy landing first with his L-39...William landed behind and with a bounce stopped inches away, Paul sped through the shot over doing it, and finally Little Stevie parked the F-16. All no damage!
