Default longer 3 wire lead for starter/kero ignitor

I have a K210G and may need to extend the starter/kero lead and was going to solder up my own but found Xicoy makes a 100cm along with shorter 50 and 75cm for JetsMunt turbines
http://www.xicoy.com/catalog/index.p...acturers_id=11

These are 3 wire vs. the stock Kingtech 4 wire. As indicated on the side of the ECU, negative on this plug is shared by the starter and kero (glow) and a 3 wire lead is ok per the Xicoy ECU manual on page 4
http://www.kingtechturbines.com/doc/FAD10.pdf

Any reason not to go with 3 wires (of adequate gauge) if I need to extend this lead?

Thanks for any info,
...Scott
