Default pouring water over electronics good or bad?

So i know heating of electronics is not supposed to be excessive like over 160deg. which causes magnet fade but would pouring water over electronics prevent magnet fade? Does quickly cooling your esc and motor contribute to slight fading and wouldn't the fade if any due to quick drop in temps help or hurt more than letting them cool by other means? Anyone know?

Because water contains electrolytes, and is conductive, and therefore generally contraindicated as a cure for electronic problems. if you've having overheating issues, figure out what is causing them and correct it. But as said above, don't just pour water over your ESC or whatever to cool it down. Maybe you're over taxing it with too much motor or voltage.
