Greece: Athens Flying Week 2016 AirShow
The time came for the sixth AthensFlyingWeek Airshow http://www.athensflyingweek.gr
I have not made the post in the "Jet events outside usa" as this is a Full-Size AirShow display and not for RC exclusively .
Its a great honour for me , for the fifth time to be invited to fly an RC model and represent our hobby to 60.000+ spectators every year.
This year the AirShow will take place in Tanagra AirForce AirBase .
Last years i attend with my H9 Ultimate giant bipe.
But this year we decide with the commitee to bring an RC Jet.
After careful thinking we decided not to choose a scale model , but a fast one.
So i will fly my favourite HotSpot ,with a JetCat P-160, with a PowerBox smoke pump,
and a PowerBox Evolution that drives two HS-7955TG per Elevon.
Note that my flying pattern doesn't NOT include high G manoeuvres towards the crowd.
My speed will be limited to 400kph.A speed that I'm comfortable flying many years now as my HotSpot with the specific engine is capable for more higher ..illegal speeds :P
Bare in mind that it has Fiberglass+Kevlar tape vacuum fins, fiberglass+carbon tape vacuum wings and fuselage reinforced with kevlar.
Hoping for the crowed to like and attract new modellers to our crazy hobby.
..I personally looking forward to see the JetMan flying !!

This years AthensFlyingWeek finished and again it was an amazing experience !
Met with Yves Rossy "The JetMan" and checked his amazing wing! Four JetCats P-400 and 28liters of fuel onboard! Meaning that the wing is also a fuel tank!
From all the displays the one i liked more was the one from HAF Hellenic Air Force with the two Mirage 2000 that they performed a tight dogfight chasing each other !!!!
