14mm- 10mm brass plug adapter
I recently installed a brass 14mm-10mm brass plug adapter in my Zen engine and it runs just as well as before with it's now smaller CM-6 plug. Due to the thickness of the adapter the plug tip does not extend as far into the combustion chamber as before.
My question is this; has anyone ever run a spark plug without it's usually supplied crush washer without having any leakage issue ?

I've used taper seat plugs in non-taper seat heads with good results but that doesn't apply here. I've flattened the washers before in automotive applications where I wanted to index a plug but I'm not sure that would help enough to lower the plug into the insert. Heck if it starts and runs as expected, I'd just leave it alone.
