RE: Oh My God A V10 1/4 scale Viper engine!!!!!!
Conley has been building that blown 427 and the Cobra kit for many moons. I first remember seeing it on television about 8 years ago and then at an auto show in Raleigh NC. The new S.O.H.C 427 is (I wanna say) about three years old. The T-bucket kit came out about 4 or 5 years ago as well.
The Cobra kit (even with the $14,000 price tag) is my ultimate R/C machine. And oh yes, one day it will be mine.
That V-10 is one of a kind and is on the market for the low-low price of $250,000.
I remember when they started that project too.

Yep, those V-8 have been around for years,
The guy used to do the Hobby shows and had a great video of that engie in a Corvette
Another guy in the boat section have a Hydro with one mounted in it.
All for show, not really a practical RC engine
Now the 1/4 scale Harley that was at the show 2 years ago was really cool,
To bad it was only static

Sweet bike.
And as far as Conley’s V8’s and cars—The last I saw the Cobra in action, it laid perfect rubber while pulling positive, smoking the tires with the deep bellow that only a V8 with true dual exhaust has.
I’d say it’s perfect for an R/C car if you can fork out the cash.
However, in-light of this thread and my own curiosity, I’ve emailed Conley with questions on just how good an R/C car his kits are. I’ve also inquired about dyno numbers of his creations.
If and when I get a response, I’ll let you know.
And, hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to tell you all about my V8 Cobra sitting on my mantle. (yes, a driveway test is a given.)

Those engines would be cool for an r/c application, but would be even cooler in a mini-sprint or some other type of go-cart that you could actually drive. Can you imagine a go-cart with a blown V-8? that would be too cool for words.
