I have a DX7s transmitter purchased in 2012. I am considering buying a new Timber airplane with AS3X receiver included. Is my transmitter compatible with the AS3X, and will it allow me all the advantages of an AS3X receiver including safe mode and general stability when safe mode is off?

The EFlite Commander manual includes the DX7S in the transmitter set-up instructions. Read the Timber manual online, I bet the DX7S is in the list

It may not be. After we discontinue a product, it is only mentioned in manuals for a short time.

Fortunately, the DX7S will do anything you need for AS3X for BNF models.
