Hi,
Have a hobbywing xerun v2.1 120amp. Upgraded software using USB and LCD box.
Now when I switch the esc on, the fan goes but no lights on the receiver, I checked the receiver with a battery and lights come on. Tested esc to receiver wires and only showing 1.8 volts.

Any ideas what might be wrong please?

I don't have first hand experience with that ESC but on some of my ESCs you can adjust the output voltage on the BEC to the receiver. Plug it back into your programmer and see if the BEC voltage is set to something other than 6V

I agree, sounds like the BEC on the ESC may be faulty... should be providing around 6V and if not, then it might be possible to use a UBEC to power your Rx instead:
