Default Inherited a giant scale

Been out of the hobby for years, and was gifted this plane.
Not sure what it is. Edge 540 maybe.
engine is a DA100.
radio is a JRPropo Chanel 58
I have no idea where to even start with this thing. No clue about big gassers.
The largest I ever flew was 40 or 60 size nitro.

Are there still flying fields? Im in Orange County Ca.
Anyone around that can offer some guidance for my son and I?

There is an R/C club in Orange County that flies large scale. Ask for Greg Stone. He is also the District X AMA AVP.

Start by searching the AMA website for clubs. I can tell you though your radio is outdated. Very few fly on a channel anymore. Most are on the 2.4 protocal and we don't use freq pins at all. I would venture to a say a large club won't even let you fly on the 72mhz. Even though it's perfectly fine.
On the plus side bigger does fly better. With some help and some mile throws you will probably pick it back up pretty fast..
