Market Place Scams
Trying to buy something and had several replies. Price is fair but they have different email for payment by PayPal and wantsonly ...friends and family. why is this? I'mwilling to pay the little surcharge for payment....Just wondering

Because 99 percent chance it's a scam. Look at the posting history.
Now....paypal will 1099 any income received over Goods and Services, so they may just not want to pay income tax but you give up your protection. My advice is unless you're very comfortable, move along.
Accounts with 0 forum posts and created within a few days, report them because that is 100 percent a scam.
Edit: Paypal will 1099-K any income received via Goods and Services over 600 dollars for a calendar tax year. That's not transactions over 600, that is a total of more than 600 dollars received. Friends and Family payments don't trigger a 1099 but you get no purchase protection.
