what is the most durable 1/8 scale? a monster truck? a buggy? i want to bash really really hard on it any suggestions for a very very durable machine?

I'm going with buggies here (big surprise huh?). In my experience with MT's, buggies appear to be WAY more durable.

Buggies are definately more durable than Monster Trucks but not because theyre built better. The problem with MT's is that they can be driven over rougher terrain so inevitably they break quicker.

About the harshest thing you can do with a buggy (short of running into a wall) is jumping it. This might sound rough but unless your jumping insane heights or flipping the thing repeatedly, they will take alot of this.

A Monster Truck gets bashed thru rocky areas, off porch steps and other areas which cause a whole pile of stress to the suspension. Add in that MT's tend to weigh more and have big tires ( more stress on everything) and you can see why they tend to break more.

Of course there are those who will disagree because theyve been lucky or baby their trucks but in general these things are true.

( a 2 wheel drive stadium truck is also fairly durable and when stuff does break it's usually simple to fix)

yeah i have a stadium truck but it just cat handle the abuse i give it. so far i broke lots of turnbuckles and no titaium parts are coming out untill 2004

Why do you need a durable truck/buggy?

If you know how to drive, then you can land without breaking the truck/buggy.

Unless, you are talking about driving it off of a 5-story building or into a wall then you need a durable truck.

The way you land determines if the truck/buggy will break or not.

im strting to lear ramp techniques but you know that feeling you get when you take it off a rock ledge you think it will do fine then a slight dip sends you out of control in the air and break something

Buggies are more agile in the air, the can be manipulated in mid flight easily by throttle/brake. My Kanai 2 started cartwheeling at over 40 mph and didn't brake a thing. A stadium truck would have been almost totally shot, don't say otherwise because I speak from lots ands lots of experiance. I spend around $500 a month on this hobby and I now know it quite well. An MT would fair well only if it was a Savage. I modified my Savage in many ways and now I am happy with it so I'll keep a very long time. I don't really see any MTs beating the Savage for toughness.

I agree with the buggies being the best for hardcore bashing. Ive done just about everthing to my basher inferno mp7.5 including jumping off a 6ft jump into a concrete building at wide open (not on purpose) and the only thing that happened was my bumper flew off and a shock tower bent slightly. Ive been bashing it for over 7 months now and I've really only had to replace the wing a few times and the front driveshaft and that only bent because I didnt have the torque rod installed.

I also have the .25 Savage SS and have already broke the front bumper as well. It seems to be a durable truck (more so than my TMaxx) but I still say the Inferno is more reliable and not to mention faster!!!

The Inferno can hit 10ft jumps at 40+ mph, sail 30ft in the air and not even blink. I think if I were to try that with my Savage, it would roll more times than I could count because its so heavy. The buggies are very controlled in the air, similar to moto-x. Just hit the brake or apply gas to bring it up or down in the front. Steer left or right to prevent a rollover.

IMO anyway.

All I have been hearing is buggys are faster and more durable then MTs but MTs can climb over anything, can wheelie, and look so cool!

Get an Inferno and put Jumbo Kong tires on it
