Default I just mounted my first set of tires and rims.

I just mounted my first set of tires and rims.
One of the tires took about 4 or 5 gluing sessions to seal it up.
One of the other tires has about a quarter of an inch of side to side tracking.
Is this excessive?
If I need to remount the tire how do you dismount it without destroying it.
How do you clean the CA off of the tire without destroying it?
I noticed when I mounted that tire that it had too much sidewall lip.
It prevented me from pushing the tire flush with the rim.
If I get it back off I will just have to trim some of that lip away.

Default RE: I just mounted my first set of tires and rims.

If you want to get the tire off the rim, you have one of 3 choices. Bake it, boil it or use a CA debonder. Usually the best way to mount the tires is to fit them onto the rim as so they look like they are ready to go. Then pull the tire away from the rim bead and put in your glue. When you glue up the rim first then try and put the tire on, if you don't get the tire in the groove the first time, it usually catches on the foam insert and then it becomes darn near impossible to get the tire all the way into the groove. It takes a little parctice but after a few sets, you 'll be an old pro.
