Servos and batterys for 86" span Laser 200??
Hi, I have an opportunity to buy a Laser 200 with A G62 86"wingspan 66"fuse legnth, unknown kit manufacturer. All the radio gear is out except 2 Futaba 3303 servos in the wing. If any of you "pros" could give me a ballpark servo setup/ battery setup, I would sincerely appreciate it. I don't know the recommended flying weight or C.G placement as there is no info available. Thanks in advance. Bass1 One more thing, I've never heard of Futaba 3303 servos.

You should be able to use any good digital servo with at least 110 oz.in. of torque. You will probably want to double up on the rudder. If you already have provisions in the wing for double aileron servos, any good 80 oz.in. digital servos will do nicely. The faster the servo, the better you will like it.
I'm still stuck in the NiCad battery age, so 3,000MaH in either 4.8 or 6 volt will do. 4.8 has a longer running time per milliamp than the 6 volt. Others with experience with the newer battery types can dump on me and give you information regarding lion's and lipo's.

What type of flying will you be doing?
S9202 servos at 6 volts are good for every day stuff.
H5975 or H5945 at 6 volts for extreme stuff.
DO add two servos for the rudder!

You might have a aeropro lazer. It it was offered in that size range. And alot of people ran G62's on their was plenty of power. I haveseen 1 fly. and it looked like it performed great. Pilot was excellent.
He was Torgue rolling it on the deck. I haven't seen one of these planes in about 3 years or so. I don't know if they are made any longer.

Thanks for the info! The guy won't budge from his price so I am still debating on purchasing the aircraft. This was/is going to be my first "Gasser" and 3-D setup. If this doesn't work out I'm considering a Lanier Cap 232 and maybe a G45 or something similar. Bass1
