Default PA-31 Navajo

Has anyone heard of a set of plans or a kit to build a Piper Navajo? I would really like to build one and am hoping to find a set of plans somewhere or even a kit! Please let me know, thanks.

Hi,
Check R/C modeler magazine. There was an article with plans quite a few years ago for a scale Navajo.

I have a plan for the Piper Navajo Chieftan. It's an old plan I've had for many years drawn by Jerry Bugni and was sold by Harold Osborne. Don't know who is carrying these anymore but the model is about 75 in span and was intended for .40 two strokes. There was a construction article in one of the magazines but I don't have the date. If you can find one it's a nice plan, hope to get to this one someday.

Call Ken Kehlet-(405)-721-2782-- he sells very accurate plans for a 76" Navajo Chieftain. I am in the process of making a 114" chieftain, first out of conventional wood, but I will have molds for a fiberglass kit if enough people were interested. But call Ken, he's a nice guy, I bought a set of plans for $40.00 in a cardboard tube," Tell him I sent ya" I would be interested to know if others are interested in Navajos

lewis757:

How big do you want it, and how scale do you want it?

Here's one that would be an easy bash:

Look at the Twin-Air 45

SO ... what's happened in this thread??? Did the Fibreglass Piper PA 31 Navajo Chieftain ever get built??? Does anyone have a set of large Accurate Scale Plans?

I had several friends that owned them in Battle Creek when I was a Pilot, I think I'll look around and find one and take good Pics and measurements. Sometime the Manufacturers will send you great 3 Views and Cockpit Panel shots and general measurements. Good enough for building a model, but I am into Scale and I need Landing Gear, Flap Actuation, Loading Doors, Interiors, etc.

Bring the Thread back, all we have here is a 28in FF kicking around.

BBailey

Hi Ken, David Ohanian here. I have always loved this plane, and I have an old, tattered set of the Hal Osborne plans. I even had a kit cut for this build, but in starting it the parts are not correctly sized. I would like another, fresh plan, and if you have a suggestion of who could cut a good kit for this I would like to know. I do want to build this plane and I think my skills are up to it.
