Still attempting to lie cheat and steal.....
The scammers are still active on this site. Be careful folks.
At least yesterday's version were not very experienced.
Some of the typical things to watch out for.
Yesterday's was the " if it's too good to be true, IT IS too good to be TRUE" version.

Almost got me.
Hi Barracuda. Would have reported it to the Michigan State Police, but as you correctly say, it's a wack a mole situation. We consumers are only going to protect ourselves through reminding each other these creepers are active.
Hence my post. Good to know the moderator is active too. Good on you Sir. And thank you.
Best I thought I could do is to remind the brotherhood.

And see and by posting your actual name and general location in the open forum, you've left yourself vulnerable to scammers searching for your other personal contact info
They do this when they see anyone post any interest in an item in the classifieds,,, they look for that info and send you a text or email pretending to be the seller of the item
I suggest you PM the admin so they can edit that post

Nobody's information is safe in this age and environment.
Sucks but true....

Hey BH.
I don't think the person who tried to scam me was a actual registered user of RCU. They tried the "friend has exactly what I was asking for", e mail him and he will contact you ( with the bait ).
I don't think they are rc hobbists, just crooks looking to decieve someone and using the site to do it.
