Dubro Black Super Strength Servo Arms on Hitec Servos
On my latest giant project, a G-62 powered plane loosely based on a Lanier Stinger, I noticed when setting up the rudder that my rudder servo wasn't always returning to centre. Took me a while to catch on that my servo arm was skipping a tooth. Actually, after flying a few flights on it (in which it didn't appear to skip inflight thank goodness) I'd asked about this at our local hobby shop and was told that neither the JR or Futaba Dubro HD servo arms worked on Hitec servos. I replaced the offending servo arm today with a stock Hitec arm and the skipping indeed seems gone. What worries me is I have black Futaba HD servo arms on my remaining Hitecs on elevator and aileron that seem tight. Can anyone comment on this - are there no aftermarket arms for Hitec servos? Bummer if neither JR or Futaba work. Kind of hard to count all those little teeth without losing count...

I only use arms specifically for HiTec on mine. I like SWB arms, check out:

bn120 is correct. The DuBro arms for Hitec/Hobbico servos are white. If you have any remaining black (Futaba) DuBro arms on your Hitecs I would change them ASAP. The splines are different.

Big thanks guys. Just glad I was able to get away with it those few flights without losing a plane and/or hurting someone. It was trying to tell me by not centering properly - I just wasn't listening closely enough or didn't want to see it... I think that an awful lot of the time it's these kinds of things that lead to crashes. Will buy some of those white arms. Cheers

I use futaba radios and Hitec servos on some of my planes, so are you saying that I will have problems, or is just the Hitec servos made for Hitec radios???
