Default What are the benefits of converting documents to PDFs?

What are the key advantages of using a scanner app to convert traditional documents into PDFs?

Hello, brand new user here. Do you realize you are on a discussion forum for radio controlled models?

Or, are you really a modeler and are inquiring about PDFs for building plans?

We get lots of vermin spammers/scammers here, so please forgive me if your post is legitimate.

You are using scanner software to do this? You just can't open it in Windows and export a scanned document into PDF? I can with IOS.
Mac does everything better than Winblows, except maybe Excel, which I don't need.

Two reasons come to mind why you'd want a PDF file for output;
1. PDF files cannot be edited, altered, or changed. It's a security thing.
2. PDF is a lot smaller in size than a .tiff file, which makes sending an email or texting an attachment faster and easier.

Define "traditional documents".
