Thanks Mike, mine will look more like yours that the one I show above, I am only doing bottom wing ailerons, Mark at OSMW says it flies very scale like that way. I am going to make the gun and exhaust pipe to look scale like. Several places have the color I am going to use, exactly like yours, I treated the FA 40-a to a new RMJ ring and BOCA hard chrome bearings.

Nice plane, perfect engine.
Had the ancient LT40 out yesterday. Got 7 flights in at about 20 minutes each.
Also powered by a very old FA-72. This one still has it's factory ring. Must be the fuel

Great stuff and thanks for your kind comments. The LT 40 is also a nice plane. I've never owned one but watched many videos down through the years and read lots of stuff on the different forums. Your Saito 72 is still going strong and that is testimony to how good and efficient the Saito engines are. I absolutely love them.

This guy makes a 1/6th scale Lewis Gun for $12 if interested. They are 3D printed and you paint and assemble them.

I had an ARF Fokker D.VII with a TT GP 40 in it, it was under powered. it would only loop if I flew it up real high and come straight down to gain speed LOL. boy was that plane fun. I loved it. slow, waist high fly bys. but I'll tell you, even tho it was under powered it would fly really high. I bought it for $50 with a cheap TX/RX in it, I flew it for 2 years. it crashed and smashed.
sold it for $4 less engine, the guy that bought it fix it up and put an OS52 4popper in it, it was way overpowered. LOL he crashed it, like on his 3rd flight with it LOL
.LOL Fun fun fun LOL
BTW, the guy that bought it from me was a P-47 Grew Chief in WW11. "Hank" I loved that guy

That is the question.
Now that it is official that there will be no more
Venture 60 kits produced, makes it hard to even open this still sealed box.
There is a brand new Saito FA-65 champing at the bit. All ready to haul a fresh Venture 60 into the air. Back up plan is to just cut a new kit from scratch, saving this one for now.

I had been holding off on building this one. Hoping Bruce would run another batch so I could back up this one.

Thanks Lonnie,
Yessir an early, HC pillowtopped piston FA-65. Has the early style carb as well.
I like to file down the ugly parting line on the cast mufflers and finish them off. That way I can simply wipe them off between flights, before the castor cooks
They can stay clean just about forever.

can someone tell me where I can buy a 12x5 3 blade prop? (black for my P-40) I've looked for 1.5 hours. I can't find one. all I can find is E-props with 8 or more pitch, and 6 to 8 pitch for fueled engines.
BTW, it looks to me APC only makes 2 3 blade props. I don't understand that.
