Fox 15
Somebody gave me it in a trainer , comp was good the shaft , fair bit of play and rod does feel loose
I put it in a mini voodoo combat wing , muffler, 10% nitro , plain bearing , steel piston , slanted plug
It s quite powerful and starts well , what life can I expect , I do run it quite lean , it has a front pickup tank , that does not feed that well
For a standard motor its amazing on a 7x4
20% castor, its got a straight thru muffler

A Fox 15 can last a long time IF it is run on high castor oil content fuel and not run overly lean and was not worn out to start with. Duke Fox built his engines to run on high content (25%) full castor oil fuels. None of the current store bought fuels I know of contain that much oil, much less all castor oil with no synthetics. Most contain 17 to 18% total oil content with castor oil comprising between 2% to 4%. If you are using store bought fuel, then you will need to add castor oil to bring the total oil content up to 25%. If you start with a gallon (128 ounces) of 18% oil content fuel, it will need 12 additional ounces of castor oil to bring the total oil content up to 25% with a final volume of 140 ounces. Drug store castor oil is acceptable but may cost more in large quantities. I use Sig castor oil, but a quick check of their web site indicates they currently only have pints of their Baker Grade AA castor oil for $12.91. They are sold out of quarts and gallons. A pint (16 ounces) would treat 1.33 gallons (making a total of 1.458 gallons) which would run a a Fox .15 for a long time.
