Thanks! May omit them and stuff a temp probe back there to see how warm it gets.

It is more important to open the rear face fuselage hole and tailcone hole around the tailpipe. The tail cone gets quite warm without the air gap.
The new Evo built in under 5 days was test run by the builder without opening that up and the tailcone got hot. Added some clearance and we ran it yesterday and it was pretty cool.
You can see he went with the NACA ducts having built previous fully ducted UF’s

probably a little late in the game for pin removal tool idea, but I tried a jewelers common screw driver and it worked! The paper clip idea doesn’t work very well, bends to easy, but that jewelers screw driver has some rigidity to it and can pry open the lock that holds the pins in the AMP connector. Just a thought for you

Digikey does offer several sizes, so you may be able to find a better fit depending on the gauge of wire used. Also, I still need to get the AMP pin removal tool. It's near impossible to remove the pins once locked into the housing without destroying them. Unfortunately the pin removal tool is rather expensive.

Oh yes, the gauge is 20-24, I'll fix the typo in my other post.

Building this all white UF. Instead of the NACA ducts I opened the ventral spine. We shall see. Using a laser level to mount the engine.

Use of a laser -
I shot from the tail pipe down the thrust tube with a "cross-hair" beam
This way the thrust tube and engine are square & parallel

How do I adjust this?
