Default Graupner Electro-Vee hull material?

Hi there,
I just bought an old Graupner Electro-Vee from eBay.

The hull is in good shape but the top cover needs some attention.
Do you guys know what material this boat is made off and what glue would be the best choice?

It came with a Graupner Hydrospeed 7022 equipped with a Graupner Speed 600 .
A set of Futaba Servos and a Futaba receiver.

Does it make sense to find vintage matching transmitter or should I buy something modern?

What would be a good transmitter/receiver/ESC combo for a boat that can drive this 8.4v motor?

Thanks in advance,
Heiko
