Default Motion RC Old Crow Mustang

I'm having problems on take off with my Mustang. As I feed power and the tail lifts off it seems to want to violently turn left even tho I've got full right rudder??? I've set the rudder as far as the throws will let me. It's got the 2 blade prop that came with it. In the air it fly's great and landing are good as long as you keep some power on, it's not a glider. Thanks, Gary Brady

You can try coming onto the power a little easier so that the plane can build up some speed before the tail comes up. Even full scale Mustangs dont behave well if you are heavy on the throttle. You don't mention how much taildragger experience you have. This is to some degree an issue with any taildragger. It can get better with practice but you may have to anticipate the turn and position your plane on the runway to account for it.I've had planes where you had to start across the runway to end up going staright.

Thanks Matt,
I do have a lot of experience with tail draggers but very little with war birds, especially electric war birds. I've just gotten into the electrics, I fly mostly 55cc SBachs and Edges. I'll give it a try and let you know. Didn't know if anybody else flying this plane has had the same problem. Thanks Gary

Ahh, it's probably just a matter of learning a new style of aircraft then. The bigger aerobats have a lot more control authority to overcome the torque reaction.
