Engine Porting for Tuned Pipe Question
I have a Kawasaki TD24 motor on a weed whacker. I was going to order a TD48 cylinder and piston, and replace the bearings and crank seals to get it up to snuff. I thought why not port the motor as well. I've read up about porting these motors but the port was done for just a traditional 2-stroke motor. However, I have software on my computer and plan to run a tuned pipe that I'm going to build myself. I'm wondering what port durations and shapes I should be using with a tuned pipe. Also, any recommendation for carb mods or an aftermarket carb?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've pretty much decided I'm going to just port it for a standard silencer to run around 8000rpm and perhaps choose a cylinder closer to the stock design while still being larger. It's going to be used in a trimmer/brush cutter and I'm rebuilding the thing and wanted more power. I don't think I want the weight that comes with a tuned pipe. Just needs to be more equipped to handle tall tall grass.
