Homebrew fuel question
Is it alright to use hardware store grade methanol as fuel?, I've used Kleen-flo Ace, and it says its 100% pure, but is it really? is their any water in it?, and if so, how would water affect my engines?
I would get race grade methanol, but its hard to find.

If the MSDS says it’s 100%, then it should be. If that’s the case, t should be fine to use. If they call I’d denatured or methylated, it’s going to be a blend of ethanol and methanol. It can work, it with lesser effect.

Thanks for the reply
I checked the website of the company behind the methanol (Kleenflo.com), and the MSDS states that the concentration is between 80 to 100%, but it states that the exact concentration is withheld as a trade secret. I then checked the MSDS from the website that I bought the same methanol (Grainger.ca), and it states 100% concentration. Why is this?
Both MSDS's state the chemical as methanol.
