Please help me pick my new car
As you can tell I am new to the nitro scene. A long..long time ago (late 80's, early 90's) I raced a Team Associated RC10 electric but now I want a nitro car. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to assemble a kit. I have been looking at the new HPI Nitro RS4 RTR 3 Evo and Super Nitro RS4 RTR as being my first car but I figured you guys may have some additional suggestions. Money is not an issue but I would like to stay in the RTR 1/10 scale on road only range. Just to let you know speed is my anti-drug, I race a Honda CR250 and a turbo charged import on the weekends for fun. So, the car which has the potential of being the fastest in the long run is what I am looking for. Pick my car
Thanks for taking the time out to help!

RE: Please help me pick my new car
For speed, you will not want the NTC3 RTR as it is a single speed tranny. You can however purchase the 2 speed upgrade for fairly cheap.
Ive not seen the HPI versions but a friend had the Traxxas Nitro 4Tec which was pretty fast. I would stick with AE or HPI though.
-- I recently traded my 2001 CR250R for a Rincon. I still have my CBR954RR though and my Wave Runner 1100
** If you're gonna break something, might as well do it the right way at full throttle. They make parts everyday! **

RE: Please help me pick my new car
Another motocrosser checking in here. I race a 2000 YZF 426 at a few different tracks around Michigan. Might be switching to trail riding next season, though. The guy i ride with broke both his wrists at Baja Acres (Millington MI) this past July and his left wrist is permanently screwed up.
I'll stay away from any on-road RC recommendations because i only have off-road stuff. Just had to check in when i saw the other riders in this thread.

I really appreciate you guys for taking the time out. Are parts readily available for Ofna and Yokomo?

The Traxxas 4 tec is very fast, around 60mph but I've heard the car itself is terrible. The RS4 Evo looks like just the RS4 3 SS in RTR form with a different engine, so I think that would be a good one and there are lots of aftermarket parts for that also.

RE: Please help me pick my new car
I am leaning toward the RS4 Evo RTR:

Now the next question is what field and maintenance equipment do I need? I want to get all of this stuff at the same time, can someone provide me with a list?
