Default Aluminum Skis

Alright folks, I am trying to mount some skis to my aircraft, and I have completely drawn a blank. The skis are all aluminum with a black plastic/resin mount pop riveted to the ski. The mount has holes drilled for 3/16" axles. Unfortunately, this is all I have. No additional hardware, instructions, nothing. I am trying to mount this to a set of dural gear and have yet come up with a lightweight, simple mounting system that I can use. Any ideas from "The Universe"?

Thank you in advance for your replies,
Pete

That ski doesn't sound familiar to me, a picture would help, particularly a close-up of the plastic piece. Dubro made aluminum skis with an aluminum triangular block. They used a torque wire you clamped to an aluminum gear or shrink-tubed to a wire gear. There were two grooves running across the bottom of the block. The torque wire was bent into a "U" shape and ran through one groove, made the U-turn and ran back through the other. It was held in place between ski and block by the ski mounting screws. Hopefully this diagram will make sense of this babble.
Dubro replaced this ski with a plastic one. It has a built-in fin for straight tracking on hard snow and the plastic material resists icing.

Here's another site that shows you haw to make the skis from scratch and how to mount them:
