tuning on novarossi RS-12
I have run 6 tanks of gas for break in on my engine and am ready to tune. When I hit the throttle hard, the engine bogs down and will whut off if I don;t let off the gas. I have the high speed mixture set 3.5 turns out and have good smoke. The low speed was set from factory at 1.5 out. I havenot adjusted it yet. Any ideas on where to start.
Sorry, I am new to adjusting these higher end motors. I have had a losi xxxnt and is much easier to tune.
Oops, the temp on the engine is around 190
thanks for any help

RE: tuning on novarossi RS-12
if you have some tuning experience and a temp gun, this shouldnt be that hard. I run RB Concepts engines, which are nova based, and while the sweet spot is hard to find, the general tuning is a breeze. You want to tune the HSN first. Tune to temp, smoke, sound, and power. the LSN is simple to tune with this system:
for general tuning, use the pinch test with the fuel line, im sure u know what this is already. once near the right area, switch to fine tuning. run the vehicle at high speeds for a few passes then bring it to a stop and hold the brakes while counting to 10. Then, apply full throttle. if it coughs, hesitates, or stalls - it is too lean, if it bogs down, feels sluggish, or sounds like a lawnmower, then it is too rich. Make adjustments of only 1 hour on a clock, no more! allow at LEAST 45 seconds between adjustments to let them 'set'. Lemmi know if u have anymore questions.
