Default P-38 In Chicago

Hey, I discovered our cousins to the North have a rc site, and found an "Interesting" series of pictures of a P-38 flight.
Go to http://www.rccanada.ca/bb/viewtopic.php?p=42982#42982 if you dare!!!

The first shot was way cool, I would have nominated it for coolest warbird in flight picture (thread in the warbird forum) but the next in the series mortified me, oh how I hate to see that scene.

Ashes to asher...Balsa to dust...
This was not a glorious ending by any means. Bummer! Oh well, build another one and get back in the air.

Twinman,
I couldn't find anything to open up. Am I missing something on my computer that I need to see the videos?
Also, check out my posts at the end of "Great Planes G2 Flight Simulator-Great Twin Practice" for some great pics of our club sponsored international airshow last August.

Twinman,

I actually witnessed this crash as a friend of mine was recording it. It was not pretty. The pilot simply pulled up too soon during a bad takeoff. Can you say "SNAP"?
This was really sad to see as he had 3 great flights earlier in the week. This just backs up your statement that you have to "fly" the P-38 ALL of the time.

Regards

Craig

Where can I find 1/8 or 1/7 scale p38 (plans/kit/arf)? I've only been able to locate the real big guys!

Go to the answer to your post at http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/P%2D...1365308/tm.htm in the warbirds forum.
