Come drive a RCWindjammer!
Join us and take control of a 6ft tall radio controlled model sail car and get up to 25 or more MPH with gentle breezes from 6 to 12 MPH with no gas, no supercharged batteries... just the wind! Do figure eights, race a simulated America's Cup course, play soccer! Bring your own model, or borrow one from almost any participant.
Learn how to sail without getting wet. Learn to tack, jibe, reach and accelerate using relative wind technology. They are quiet and environmentally friendly. Best of all, you can put your hands on the control at no cost to you and no obligation. Our purpose is to expose this sport to the world and we share everything we know about the four other manufacturers in the US; and the world for that matter.
This is a new, innovative, challenging sport developed by Hobie sailors that have won competitions around the world. They came up with an RC land yacht as an alternative to taking the two hours to rig a fully functional sailboat. Once in a while, it's just plain fun to sail a parking lot! Check out the fellow enthusiasts photo site at www.modelsailcars.com
