Default Wing Joining on Duellist 2/40

Hi All,
I have recently ventured into twins and am building my first Duellist 2/40. I didn't have a large enough table to build the wings as the instructions said so I started to build the right half separate. Upon further construction I saw that it was going to be necessary to join the wing halves to continue. So I bought a piece of waferboard large enough for the wing halves. When I put the 3 1/2" piece of scrap under the W-10 at the main spar the servo rails were almost touching the plans. My question is now that the wing halves need to be joined, can I reduce the scrap piece to 1 3/4" and brace each wing half at the W-10?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris:

There is no reason you cannot block both tips evenly, it's just that the usual method is to block one tip only.

Bill.
