Note for new hummingbird buyers!!!
Do NOT buy the Airwolf Hummingbird if you are a first time flyer!!! Even the intermediate flyers could have some difficulty getting this neat bird off the ground.
The problem is the tricycle landing gear. The front nose wheel casters 360deg, and there is nothing controling it. So, when you are about to take off, it has a real tendancy to want to start spinning on the wheel. Secondly, the helicopter tends to "tilt" over to one side or the other during take off. (Remember you went from 4 points of contact to 3.) This means you have to simply get the bird in the air. There really is no way to do a "scale take off". Once its' off the ground I'm sure it'll fly all right but it's hard to find out if there are set up requirements necessary because you can't get it light on the skids first. Last, you can't add training gear to the landing gear..
Beyond that it's a great helicopter!!!! I went back to my hobby shop and bought the parts I needed to switch back to the skid landing gear and I'm gonna try it later on this evening. (a new frame, crash kit, and tail boom kit is what's needed)

RE: Note for new hummingbird buyers!!!
The air wolf is a tank. It doesn't maneuver as fast or as well as the HB V2. Overall I was very disappointed with it. It's definitely more of a show piece than a flying machine.[]
