Menz S or Mejzlik, which load more ?
I just started my ZDZ 80 RV with JMB can (non-tuned) with 40:1 fuel and Menz S 26x10. On the second tank (12 oz) we tried a couple of full throttle blasts. That engine is a beast. It spools up as fast as my YS, if not faster. It does not load up anywhere in the throttle range and starts rather easily even though I will have to get used to it, as it seems to flood easily but so far, it does not seem to be a problem. The idle speed is about at 1300 RPMs, not sure though.
Anyway, I got 6700 RPMs easily with the menz S 26x10 and we started my friends ZDZ 80 B2 which is well broken in with a mejzlik 26x10 and we had a hard time getting 6200 RPMs. His engine is on stock RCS in-cowl mufflers with 80:1 fuel (Amsoil 100:1). The transition on his engine is slow but engine is very reliable.
My question is, is my engine stronger than his and which propeller loads more ?
Needless to say, I am very happy with the engine so far.

Here is our experience with both types
Short story-- single is potentially stronger than the twin.
Single has less parts less drag-etc..
In actual practice --the use of different props and mufflers/cans/pipes can reverse this!
best combos so far:
use muffler which flows easily --
The new Supersonic is louder than the Bissons - but flows more.
Props -- the Mejzlic design will allow more performance in the air with less noise -
In tests on the ground- Mejzlic vs MenzS - same sizes will typically show more revs with the Mejzlic.
I assume- (bad idea) his mufflers are the quiet Bisson type.
If so- they will reduce power a bit-part of the noise reduction.
remove the curved ends -this will increase power but also noise.
Do not squeeze mixture settings for power.
That is true for any engine
Use recommended oil/ fuel-- best setup for bower and heat control.
Lots of good choices -
I use 35-1 Redline Racing Two Stroke - but any quality synthetic should be fine - ask RCS if in doubt.

RE: Menz S or Mejzlik, which load more ?
Those are impressive numbers on the 80 single. I've seen quite a few around here and so far 6400-6500 rpm with a Menz-S 26x10 on an in-cowl Pitts (J&A) is the best I've observed or measured. The Mejzlik 26x10 was measured at 6700 rpm on the same motor and exhaust. A buddy had the 80 twin with B&B mufflers and it turned 6600 rpm with a Mejzlik 26x10. A Krumscheid tuned exhaust really perks up the motor, but I don't have any experience with the JMB. You might have your buddy try some 40:1 fuel, see if it picks up power. The factory wants you to use at least 40:1 or more oil.
