Hi

The Piccolo Pro manual suggests to glue the servos. I'd hate to do that.
Isthere an alternative?

A dot of CA is the lightest, most secure mounting method. Before the advent of Lithium Polymer batteries, weight was everything. It is not so critical today, assuming that you are using LiPos. But you DO need the absolutely secure mount. Nothing that allows movement of any kind.
Out of curiousity, how much heli flight experience do you have?

3. Is there another method beside CA that provides an absolutely secure mount?

Good. I always ask about experience when someone talks about a collective pitch heli. More critical setup and more troubleshooting variables and such.
Are you going to use 3 cell LiPos? I think that is what most Pro pilots choose. But I am guessing. You might consider browsing the Ikarus board for more authoritative information on Picc Pros.
I use CA. I have removed servos CA'd on, by working an Xacto blade between the servo and the mount. Yes, landiing a fixed pitch heli upside down can strip servo gears. :-O
I have heard a report of using hot glue. You remove the servo by using a piece of dental floss to cut the hot glue, and then the glue can easily be picked off of the servo and mount with your fingers.
I have just started using hot glue on my piccolo. It holds well and is not brittle. This makes for better landing gear glue than CA.

used hot glue on mine, works great! you only need a drop in the center, then just press and hold.

Well... i zip tie mine... but i make sure the zip tie is in a good position to secure.. and i drop maybe one drop of CA ... I didn't want to put to much glue... u may need to take it out for other use later...

I also use Heat Glue like rkramer. Heat Glue is Strong... Not brittle like CA and can be remove for future use.
