APC prop for Zenoah G-45
I need to know the correct prop for a Zenoah G-45 for maximum vertical performance on a 17 pound airplane. I need info from someone who has experience with this exact engine. A friend of mine put an APC 17-8 prop on a G-38 and it picked up 1500 rpm and runs like a G-62 but I think this might cause a G-45 to pull too many rpm. Also what is the rev limit of a G-45? The prop has to be a APC. NO GUESSES PLEASE.

G45
There is no rev limit on a G45..You could put a 15-8 on it and turn over 10,000 rpm but not have enough thrust ot fly a plane..A 22-8 at 6500+ or a 20-10 at 7000+ will work fine...The larger diameter will have the most thrust but less speed....

APC prop for Zenoah G-45
I have a staudacher that weighs 17lbs. with a G45. Best vertical was from a MA 20x10 scimitar. Good luck with the APC, I think there great for speed.
