Default Steel flywheel on G-62...

Hi guys...

I have made a combined pulley/flywheel for a beltdrive for my G-62... I have made it from steel, and then it occured to me that the steel may do somethin to the mag on the engine... It will be mounted where the original prophub mounts on the engine...

Does it make a difference to the engine/ignition when placing a large amount of steel right next to the magneto???

Nope, the old Webra Bully magnet was embedded in the rear web of the crank....

The original Webra Bully could be either glow or gas...The sensor for the gas version screws into the rear of the crankcase..For the ignition to work the magnet must be embedded into the rear web of the crankshaft..All versions have the magnet in the crank, glow or gas...The old Webra Bully is no longer available.....

Thanks Ralph...

I was afraid that the steel flywheel might interfere with the magneto ignition on the engine...

I actually have an old Bully on glow, which I would like to convert back to gas... Can I still buy the electronic ignition for this engine? Or can I mount a new ignition module from another manufacturer using the original magnet? I imagine I would also have to change the carb, but what model should I get? Carb I mean...

It might be possible to take the wires out of the old sensor and put a Hall sensor in it, then use a C&H or one of mine, but the timing might be at TDC instead of 28 BTDC, depends on how Webra set up the original ignition...A Walbro WT76A would be a good one for the engine....
